I began my career as a speech-language pathologist in August of 2016 working in the public school system in Florida. I quickly fell in love with the profession, and in 2022 created Sunshine Applied Speech Services (SASS). I have been doing Teletherapy for 3 years and hold licenses in Florida, Michigan, California and Oregon. I am a strong advocate for my students and make sure that as an IEP team, we are looking at the whole child and making the best decisions to ensure overall success in academics and life. When I am not working, I am usually with my big goofy dog, spending time with my 3 nephews, or lost in a good book.

This is my 11th year as an SLP and 16th year in education! I have been working on virtual platforms since 2020. I was a Special Education Preschool, Elementary and High School teacher prior to becoming an SLP! I have worked in both the General Education and life skills classroom settings as an in-person and Virtual-Based SLP! I was awarded the Florida School Clinician of the Year in 2021 by the FLASHA and served as Vice President of Communications for FLASHA from 2021 to 2023. I am licensed in Florida, Michigan, California and Oregon.

I have been a speech-language pathologist in the school setting for over 30 years. In that time, I have served as the FLASHA President, University of South Florida Clinical Instructor, mentor to new clinicians, and am also an ASHA award recipient. Additionally, I am one of the 2024 ASHA-PAC Honorees for excellence in advocacy. Currently, I am licensed in Florida, Texas, Michigan, California and Oregon. I live with my husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and love to go on cruises! I also have two children and a grandson I enjoy spoiling every chance I get.
